Lightly Charred Broccolini
A quick, flavorful side with crispy edges and just the right amount of heat.
Ingredients
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 lb broccolini
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon chili flakes
Salt to taste
1/2 lemon, juiced
Instructions
Heat the Pan
Heat a wide-bottomed pan over medium-high heat. (A cast iron pan works beautifully for this dish.)Sear the Broccolini
Once the pan is hot, add the olive oil. When the oil is shimmering, add the broccolini and leave it undisturbed for a few minutes until it begins to lightly char.Add Flavor
Stir the broccolini with tongs or a wooden spoon. Add the minced garlic, chili flakes, and salt. Continue cooking for a few more minutes until tender-crisp and fragrant.Finish and Serve
Squeeze the lemon juice over the broccolini and serve warm.
