Basil Yogurt Sauce for Any and Everything
Creamy, punchy, and full of fresh basil — the kind of sauce that finds its way onto everything.
Ingredients
1 large bunch fresh basil, leaves only
1 garlic clove
½ jalapeño (or 1 teaspoon chili flakes)
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons champagne vinegar
1 teaspoon honey
3 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Blend the Base
In a small food processor (like a 4-cup Cuisinart), combine the basil, garlic, jalapeño, olive oil, vinegar, honey, and salt. Pulse about 20 times until the mixture resembles a rough paste — you should still see small bits of basil.Add the Yogurt
Add the yogurt and pulse just until smooth and fully combined.Serve
Transfer to a serving bowl. Spoon over chicken, fish, roasted vegetables — or just about anything.
