Balsamic Dressing
A classic vinaigrette with a touch of sweetness — rich, tangy, and endlessly versatile.
Ingredients
1 shallot, very finely minced
1 small garlic clove, grated
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon honey
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Make the Base
In a small bowl, whisk together the shallot, garlic, Dijon mustard, honey, and balsamic vinegar until well combined.Emulsify
Slowly pour in the olive oil while whisking continuously, until the dressing is emulsified and smooth.Season and Store
Add salt and black pepper to taste. Store in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid in the fridge for up to 1 week. Shake well before each use.
