5 Minute Shallot Salad Dressing
A punchy, bright vinaigrette that comes together in minutes and makes everything taste more alive.
Ingredients
1 shallot, minced
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon Aleppo pepper
Salt, to taste
1/2 lemon, juiced
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 tablespoon honey
Instructions
Soften the Shallots
Dice the shallot and place it in a small bowl. Cover with the apple cider vinegar and let sit for 5 minutes to soften and mellow the flavor.Whisk the Dressing
Add Aleppo pepper, salt, lemon juice, and olive oil to the shallot mixture. Whisk well to combine.Taste and Adjust
Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. If you’d like a bit more sweetness, whisk in the honey.Serve
Pour over salad or drizzle onto grain bowls, roasted vegetables, or anything that needs a bit of zip.
Note: Sometimes I use a combo of olive oil and chili olive oil from Brightland.
